Southwest Regional Association of Programmers
SWRAP is the only group in the Chicago area supporting users of classic Commodore 8-bit computers, like the Commodore 64 and 128. And we've been doing so since the first C64 hit store shelves back in 1983!
The first SWRAP meetings were held near Chicago's Midway airport, on the city's Southwest side. As other groups abandoned the aging 8-bit systems, our membership grew to include Commodore users from all over the Chicagoland area. Don't let the name fool you: today, our members come from as far East as the Indiana border and as far West as Rockford!
They say you never forget your first love. Maybe that explains the devotion our members still have for these classic machines. After more than twenty years of service, SWRAP continues to hold monthly general meetings, a hardware SIG, and GEOS programming seminars.
New faces are always welcome at our monthly general meetings. See the news page for more info on our upcoming events!
